Some investigators have the same theme but were adjusted to make it work better. I kept their skills, health, and stamina the same. The goals were to make them have interesting and diverse abilities, not have single function investigators, and make them fit the theme of their profession (like waitress). This is the standard set of investigators for Eldritch Horror - re-imagined for flavor and more interesting abilities. The Improvement Action, of course, cannot be performed twice in a turn unless some ability specifically allows it (currently no ability exists). The requirements to gain Eldritch Tokens are still the same, so there will still be some time before Investigators can perform the Improvement action, but the action itself now falls within the normal Action rules. We’ve found that the 2 action cost is a strong disincentive to using the Eldritch tokens, and wanted to provide an option that allows easier (and more fun) spending. V1.0: After many plays of the 2-Action variant, we've decided on an option that requires the Improvement action cost only 1 Action.
